My Current Playlist

Hey loves!

I have been working on the new issue of Spotlight magazine and in the issue, I talk about music. Music is apart of my everyday routine and gets me going in the morning! This post is similar to a blog post I did about a month ago. That post got pretty good feedback, so I will start to make updates to my “Now Tunes” playlist to feature on Caution District. I update this playlist on a weekly to biweekly basis depending on the new music released and the type of mood I’m in.  With all that said let’s dive into the post.

Whose In My Playlist?

This playlist has a little bit of every genre. As you scroll through the list you will see Tasha Cobbs, Bruno Mars, Migos, and Temptations. This playlist transcendence all different decades to make a well rounded joyful experience. Some of the songs are in Spanish. As you all I have been trying to learn Spanish so I can become fluent. So far I about 25% fluent in Spanish from what the app Duolingo tells me.

Get to Know the Some of Songs & Artists

  1. Ultralight Beam by Kayne West: This song has been a favorite of mine for months now. I didn’t listen to Kayne’s Saint Pablo album. This song popped up on my shuffle when I was listening to music on my worship playlist. I had know idea that Kayne was into gospel music other than my favorite song by him Jesus Walk. The song Ultralight Beam is about Saul turned Apostle Paul being blinded by the presence of God. This song is about a journey of unconditional love, forgiveness, and redemption.
  2. Unforgettable by French Montana & Swae Lee: This song is catchy and easy to get into! It has a nice beat for my cool down routine. This song is not only a song that you can chill too, but the lyrics have a lot meaning to them. French Montana poured a lot of his past experiences of growing up in Morocco, Africa into the lyrics. Along with present day references of trying to manage the complications of life to make success unforgettable.
  3. Love by Matt White: This song is a nice feel good song. The sounds of the guitar are just therapeutic! This song makes love seem so easy and manageable to have, but in reality, it’s not that simple always. There is a lot of work and communication needed to make love work. Matt White is not someone I know very well as an artist, but this is song will always be on my main playlist as a favorite!
